- With a complex web app like Freckle, caching issues can occur when we make improvements. To resolve this issue, just press Ctrl + Shift + R (or Cmd + Shift + R on a Mac). If that does not work, there are more specific directions for Chrome (and Firefox).
- If the issue continues, it would be most helpful to send a screenshot or video with the console open. To open the console on Chrome, press Ctrl + Shift + J (or Cmd + Opt + J on a Mac). This will allow us to investigate more thoroughly to determine what may be happening.
- Make sure you are using the most up-to-date version of Chrome.
- Ensure ad blockers and extensions are disabled on the browser, as these can restrict Freckle's required resources.
- Reach out to your school or school network's IT department to ensure resources needed for Freckle are allowed. This article provides more details.
You can also help us try to debug an issue with Chrome by following these steps:
- Open a new tab in Chrome and type in chrome://net-internals in the URL bar.
- Switch back to whatever tab Freckle is open in, or open a new tab with Freckle it in, and get to the point with the problem.
- Switch back to net-internals (the tab you opened in step 1), type in anything at all you can tell us about the problem in the text box, select Save to file, and save the file to your desktop (or any other convenient place).
- Send us the file generated in step 3 to uksupport@renaissance.com (the name will be what you picked and will end in .json).
